現地時間2025年11月5日（水）、正午ごろに起きた。一日中家にいた。
家でカーリングの試合を観た。スウェーデンのチームと韓国のチームによる対戦だった。
私自身が競技を始めたことで、以前にも増して観戦が面白くなった。より細かな点を気付けるようになった気がする。たとえば今日の試合では、密にコミュニケーションをとる選手たちの様子に目が行った。
中継の実況・解説を聞くのも面白い。カーリング関連の英単語を知ることができるからだ。私はプレー中に、英語力の足りなさを実感したことがあり、カーリング用語を学びたいと思っている。
On Wednesday, November 5th, 2025, I got up around noon PST and stayed home all day.
At home, I watched an international curling match between a team from Sweden and one from South Korea, using a sports network’s streaming service. Since this year’s baseball season is over, the only sports I enjoy watching now are ice hockey and curling.
Although I have been a fan of curling, actually playing it has given me a new perspective on watching the sport. For example, when the players faced situations in which it was difficult to decide on a tactic, they communicated far more than I do when I play. That was an insightful example for me as a beginner.
It was also interesting to listen to what the commentators said on the stream, as it helped me learn English expressions related to curling. When I played the sport in Vancouver, I sometimes struggled to talk with others due to a lack of English skills, including vocabulary.
