2025年11月12日（水）、午前7時半ごろに起きた。午前中、横浜駅から桜木町駅にかけての一帯を歩きながら、図書館へ向かった。
散歩した場所の1つが、臨港パーク。海沿いにあるこの公園では先月、新しい建物が誕生した。今日見たところ、平日の午前中にもかかわらず、建物の前には長蛇の列ができていた。行列客のお目当ては、話題のドーナツ店「I’m donut ?」だったようだ。
臨港パークの広場も賑わっていた。小学生くらいの子どもたちが、遠足をしていたからだ。
今日私のなかで最も印象に残ったのは、ドーナツでも広場の芝生でもない。クスノキの黒い実、それとエノキの黄色い葉だ。「日本の秋」を感じさせてくれた。
On Wednesday, November 12th, 2025, I got up around 7:30 a.m. and went out in the morning to walk around Yokohama Station and Sakuragicho Station, heading to a library.
A new building with an impressive truss exterior was open at the edge of the park, and a bunch of people were lining up in front of it — the line was possibly about 50 meters long. They seemed to be waiting to enter a trendy donut shop called I’m donut ?.
An open space in the park was filled with many kids who looked like elementary school students. They were fully enjoying their field trip.
What caught my attention the most was neither the donuts nor the grassy field. The black fruits of camphor trees and the yellow leaves of trees, possibly Chinese hackberry, made me feel the autumn atmosphere in Japan.
