現地時間2025年12月15日（月）、午前13時半に起きた。夕方、弓道の練習に行った。
練習前、ノースバンクーバーのフェリーターミナル周辺を散歩した。
お目当ては、「シップヤーズ・スケート・プラザ」。無料の屋外アイスリンクで、クリマスマーケットの一角にある。屋外リンクとしては広めの施設だ。天井が高いことや、リンク内外を仕切るものがないことが、開放感を高めている。
クリスマスマーケットは多くの屋台が並び、活気にあふれている。冬にしては珍しい晴天を、マーケットの来場者たちは存分に満喫していた。
On Monday, December 15th, 2025, I got up at 1:30 p.m. PST and practiced Japanese archery in the evening.
Before practice, I walked around the district near a ferry terminal in North Vancouver, Lonsdale Quay.
What I had really hoped to see there was a free outdoor ice rink, the Shipyards Skate Plaza. It was set up within the Shipyards Christmas Market along the waterfront. Although I did not go ice skating that day, it looked like an enjoyable venue for skating, given its large size for an outdoor rink in an urban area. Its high ceiling, the decorations inside the rink, and the open, seamless space without barriers also made it attractive.
The Christmas market, filled with many stalls, was lively. Many visitors enjoyed hanging out with others and listening to live music on a small stage in the market, taking advantage of the rare sunny day during the winter season in Vancouver.
