現地時間2025年10月29日（水）、13時半ごろに起きた。
夕方、外出した。ワールドシリーズのパブリックビューイングに行くためだ。アイススケート施設を訪れ、コミュニティセンターのような建物にも行った。パブリックビューイングをこれらの施設でやっていると、事前に知人から聞いていた。
私の期待としては、少なくとも10人くらいが各場所に集まっていると思っていた。だが実際に試合の中継を観ている人は、ほんのわずかだった。もはや、家で野球を観るのとほぼ変わらない状況だ。
一応、試合に興味を持っていそうな男性たちは数人いた。彼らは、子供の付き添いとしてスケート場に来ているようで、空き時間に中継の映像を見つめていた。家でゆっくり野球を観ることはできなかったようだが、スケート場で観ることができて、ちょっとは満足できたかもしれない。
On Wednesday, October 29th, 2025, I got up around 1:30 p.m. PDT.
An acquaintance had introduced me to some places in New Westminster where people could watch the World Series together, so I tried visiting them. One was an ice skating facility, and the other was a building similar to a community centre.
Although I had expected that at least more than ten people would gather at each place to watch the game, there were only a few people enjoying the match. To be honest, it was not very different from watching baseball games on the internet at home.
That said, I noticed some men who seemed interested in the game. They were apparently accompanying their children, who were ice skating at the rink. It must have been difficult for them to watch TV at home and focus on the World Series. The TV installed in the building housing the rink provided them with an opportunity to satisfy that desire.
