現地時間2026年1月6日（火）、午前2時ごろに起きた。ローズマリー・ブラウン・レクリエーションセンターへ行った。
アイススケートの練習をした。友人も一緒だった。スケートをした後、私たちは建物内のカフェでしばらくの間、くつろいだ。
ここのカフェとラウンジは、街中にあるカフェよりも空いている。落ち着いた雰囲気で、居心地がよい。
今日のような過ごし方ができるから、私はこの施設が大好きだ。ガラス張りの壁から差し込む自然光、カフェの隣にある広々とした吹き抜け、木材を取り入れた現代風の内装。こうした要素が施設の魅力をさらに高めている。
On Tuesday, January 6th, 2026, I got up at 2:00 a.m. PST and went to the Rosemary Brown Recreation Centre to go ice skating.
I practiced the sport together with a friend of mine. Afterwards, we stayed in the building to relax with some drinks.
Thankfully, the Centre has a lounge on the first floor, with a café and plenty of chairs. I found it very comfortable to stay there, as it was less crowded and calmer than typical cafés.
Today’s experience illustrates why this facility is my favorite piece of architecture in Metro Vancouver. While it provides two rinks for skaters, it also offers relaxing spaces such as the lounge I mentioned. Natural light coming through the glass wall, a spacious atrium next to the café, and a modern interior design featuring wooden structures all contribute to the facility’s appeal.
