現地時間2026年1月12日（月）、午前5時半ごろに起きた。夕方、弓道の練習をした。
家で、アイスホッケーの試合を2試合観た。ひとつは、前日にあった、ベガス・ゴールデンナイツ対サンノゼ・シャークスの試合。もう1つはおとといの試合で、バンクーバー・カナックスとトロント・メープルリーフスの対戦だ。
どちらの試合も、私の贔屓チームが負けた。シャークスは2対7で敗れ、カナックスは0対5で完敗した。
スコアだけを見れば、どちらの試合も大敗だ。内容には違いがある。サンノゼの攻撃陣は私を楽しませてくれた一方、カナックスの攻撃は魅力的ではなかった。私はカナックスの熱心なファンではないため、最近ではシャークス、タンパベイ・ライトニング、エドモントン・オイラーズといった他のチームに目移りしつつある。
On Monday, January 12th, 2026, I got up around 5:30 a.m. PST and practiced Japanese archery in the evening.
At home, I watched replays of two ice hockey games. One was yesterday’s match between the Vegas Golden Knights and the San Jose Sharks. The other was the Vancouver Canucks’ game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, which had taken place the day before yesterday.
Both games ended in disappointing results for me, since neither of the teams I root for won. The Sharks lost 2–7, and the Canucks were defeated 5–0.
The scores suggest that both games were heavy losses, but the quality of the performances differed between them. While the offensive players for San Jose entertained me, I did not find the Canucks’ attack exciting. Since I am not a true fan of the Canucks, I have recently been leaning toward other franchises that are more appealing for me to watch, such as the Sharks, the Tampa Bay Lightning, and the Edmonton Oilers.
