現地時間2026年1月17日（土）、午前9時に起きた。夕方、弓道の練習をした。
今日、野球のチケットをオンラインで購入した。観戦予定の試合は、今年3月開催予定のワールド・ベースボール・クラシック（WBC）だ。3年前にあった前回大会も現地で観戦した私は、すっかりこの大会の虜になってしまった。
チケットの価格は500米ドルを超える。かなりの高額だが、それでも他の座席と比べると安いチケットだ。WBCを待ち焦がれていた私だが、この価格の高さゆえに、購入するかどうかかなり迷った。
前回大会と比べて、価格が跳ね上がっている。3年前に観戦した決勝戦のチケットは約120米ドルだった。しかも当時の席は、今回購入したものよりもグラウンドに近い、比較的良い座席だ。

At home, I purchased a ticket online for the 2026 World Baseball Classic, an international baseball tournament. Since I was so excited to watch the same tournament three years ago, I have been looking forward to getting a ticket for the upcoming event and attending a game in person.
The ticket I bought cost more than 500 USD, which was among the cheapest available for the game I plan to attend, based on what I found in my search. Because it was extremely expensive for me, I hesitated before purchasing it.
It is obvious that ticket prices for this tournament have risen sharply. The ticket price for the final I watched three years ago cost about 120 USD. Moreover, my seat back then was closer to the players on the field compared with the seat I will have in 2026.
