現地時間2026年1月21日（水）、午前11時ごろに起きた。夕方、買い物に出かけた。
自宅で、アイスホッケーの試合を観た。バンクーバー・カナックスとワシントン・キャピタルズの対戦だ。絶不調のカナックスは目下11連敗中。連敗中の試合をいくつか見た私は、チームの攻撃力の低さに落胆していた。
しかし今夜の試合は、連敗中と違う様相を呈した。攻撃がしっかり機能し、4対3の勝利を収めた。特にゴール裏のゾーンからの攻撃が、効果的に決まっていた。
これまで見たカナックスの試合のなかでは、最も面白い一戦だった。美しい連係を見ることができた。最後まで勝敗の分からない接戦だったことも、見ている側としては楽しかった。正直なところ、カナックスにとってプレーオフ進出の望みはほぼないが、今日のような試合をなるべく多く、シーズンの残り試合で見せてほしい。
On Wednesday, January 21st, 2026, I got up around 11:00 a.m. PST and went shopping in the evening.
At home, I watched an ice hockey game held in Vancouver that day between the Vancouver Canucks and the Washington Capitals. The Canucks had been in a slump recently, losing eleven games in a row. I watched several of their games during that miserable stretch and was disappointed by how ineffective their offense was at scoring.
Unlike those games, their offense worked well tonight and scored four goals, which led them to a 4–3 win. Attacks from behind the net were especially effective.
It was the most enjoyable Canucks game I have ever watched, as they showed beautiful combinations that resulted in goals. In addition, the fact that it was a nail-biter made it even more exciting. Honestly, it seems almost impossible for them to make the playoffs, but I hope their performance for the rest of the season will be like this game.
