現地時間2026年1月28日（水）、午前7時半ごろに起きた。公園でボランティアに参加した。
昼にボランティア活動を終えた後、ボランティア仲間の1人とレストランに入った。店の名前は、「Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba」。バンクーバーに複数の店舗を展開している店だ。
私は唐揚げ入りのラーメンを注文した。バンクーバーで食べたことのあるラーメンのなかで、一番おいしかった。
この店で印象に残ったのは、料理だけではない。各席に注文用のタブレット端末が設置されていたのだ。日本ではよくある仕組みだが、バンクーバーでこの方式を体験するのは今日が初めてだった。
On Wednesday, January 28th, 2026, I got up at 7:30 a.m. PST and went out to do volunteer work at a park.
After finishing the volunteer work, I went to a restaurant to have lunch with a member of the volunteer group. The place we visited was a ramen restaurant called Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba, which has several locations across Metro Vancouver.
I ordered ramen with karaage, which is a rare combination for Japanese people, but I found it extremely good. It was the best ramen I have ever had in Vancouver.
What impressed me about this restaurant was not only the food. Each table had a digital display that allowed customers to place their orders through it. It was my first time experiencing a tablet-based ordering system like that in Vancouver, although such systems can be found at many restaurants in Japan.
